Day 02 Chongqing
Today you will visit the Erling Park, General Stiwell Museum and Ciqikou Old Town.
Erling Park-The Erlin Park was built in late Ch'ing Dynasty (1644 ~ 1911A.D.). Originally it was a private garden and called "Yiyuan". Later, a rich businessman purchased the place and converts in to a villa and named it "Liyuan". The Erlin Park displays the layout of Suzhou gardens. There are pavilions, platforms, high buildings, winding paths and corridors, lotus ponds, arc bridges and so on in the whole garden.
General Stiwell Museum/Former Residence of General Stilwell (Shidiwei Jiangjun Jiuju)- is a site to behold and every American should come visit and pay respects. In addition to the artifacts placed in an array as it would have been during his residence on the first floor, the lower level has five separate rooms in an orderly pictorial essay of American and Chinese cooperation during World War II.
Ciqikou is an old town preserved in sprawling modern Chongqing. It's an old sleepy town built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The town's name, Ciqikou, means porcelain harbor, and the community prospered from the porcelain trade. Today it offers a glimpse of the peaceful laid-back life in the Sichuan countryside and is somewhere to take a break from the busy commercial world of Chongqing.

The Dazu Rock Carvings are a series of Chinese religious sculptures and carvings, dating back as far as the 7th century A.D., depicting and influenced by Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist beliefs.
