Itinerary
Day 1: Guilin Arrival
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Day 2: Guilin – Longsheng – Guilin: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Longsheng Terrace Rice Fields
In the morning, you will spend about 2.5 hours in private van driving into Longsheng County, which is located in the northeastern part of Guilin. Longsheng is famous for its natural beauty and its colorful ethnic Chinese cultures and customs. There, breathtaking terraced rice fields will greet your eyes. The terraced fields, with the highest elevation of 885m and the lowest of 380m, are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top. Seen from afar the view looks like a huge snail. Upon arrival, you will enjoy the hiking tours around Pingan village for the wonderful views.
In the late afternoon, drive back to downtown Guilin.
Day 3: Guilin – Yangshuo – Guilin: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Li River / Western Street
You will get up early in the morning and drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to take the Li River cruise, which is considered as one of China's top tourist destinations. It is the river of traditional Chinese poems and paintings. The region covers an 83-km karst area with clear, exotic, ingenious and changing characteristics. After the 4.5 hour Li River Cruise, you will arrive at Yangshuo County, a dream place for many tourists who want to see the real natural landscape and touch the countryside life.
You will take a short walk along the famous foreigner street- Western Street - before driving back to downtown Guilin.
Day 4: Guilin – Next destination: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Elephant Trunk Hill / Reed Flute Cave
Starting the day later than usual, you will visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. As the symbol of Guilin, it has become one of the most popular natural monuments. It resembles an elephant drinking from the Li River. Afterwards, you will pay a visit to the Reed Flute Cave. The Cave is Guilin's largest and most impressive cave. This cave is 790 feet deep. A visitor will walk for some 550 yards through a zigzagging way of stalactites and stalagmites lit in dazzling colors.
In the mid-afternoon, you will go directly to the airport to take a flight to your next destination.
