Itinerary
Day 1: Beihai Arrival: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Beihai Silver Beach / Beihai Submarine World
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your downtown hotel. After freshening up, you will visit Beihai Silver Beach, which is reputed to be a long beach of 24 km (about 15 miles) with soft white sand and gentle waves. It is a natural spot to swim and has acquired the name of 'No.1 Beach under Heaven'. Then your next stop is Beihai Submarine World. Beihai Submarine World is a big comprehensive museum. which exhibits the halobios. It has two districts: “A” district is the former Aquatic Products Museum which is considered as one of the earliest and largest aquatic products museum together with Qingdao. “B” district is the biggest submarine sightseeing location in the southwestern area of China.
Day 2: Beihai – Weizhou Island - Beihai: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Weizhou Island / Catholic Church / Sam Po Temple / Diving
After lunch, you take a short drive to Weizhou Island. Weizhou Island is the largest extinct volcanic island in China. The scenery on the island is charming and gentle; especially the unusual scenery of volcanic lava and the magnificent crater which is a very rare sight. The marine eroded scenery on the island depicts many unusual mountain ranges and dangerous sandbanks. When you dive underwater, many life-forms in the sea such as live coral, trumpet shell, jellyfish and starfish come into view giving an illusion of paradise. On the banks of the island you can pay a visit to the Catholic Church or the Sam Po Temple and feel the different cultural atmosphere of each.
Day 3: Beihai – Fangchenggang - Dongxing: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Bailong Beach / Golden Beach / Village of Jing People
In the morning, you spend about 3 hours in a private van driving into Fangchenggang and visit Bailong Beach on the Jiangshan Peninsula. The Jiangshan Peninsula is the largest peninsula of Guangxi in Beibuwan Bay. Forming the shape of a dragon, it is also called the White Dragon Peninsula by the locals. Many tourism sites such as Moon Bay and Strange Stones Bay offer an ideal holiday resorts. Then continue driving to Dongxing, where the peoples of China and Vietnam have had the most frequent contact. There you will visit Golden Beach. This 13-kilometre-long broad beach is covered with fine, golden sand and washed by gentle waves. As it is facing the Silver Beach in Beihai, it is called the Golden Beach. Afterwards, you head for the Village of the Jing People where groups of Jing fishermen move huge fishing nets out to sea on unique bamboo rafts and boats. The Jing People depend on the sea for a living and are deeply attached to the sea.
Day 4: Dongxing - Qinzhou: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Sanniang Bay
After checking out of your hotel, drive about 90km to Qinzhou and visit Sanniang Bay, which is a top attraction of Qinzhou City and the original habitat of Chinese white dolphins. A 2,000 meter (2,187 yards) fine natural bathing beach makes it a wonderful site for watching the sunrise and the dolphins.
Day 5: Qinzhou - Nanning: Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Mt. Qingxiu / Guangxi Ethnic Relics Centers
After checking out at your hotel, drive about 120km to Nanning. Upon arrival, you will visit Mt. Qingxiu. Evergreen trees, strangely-shaped stones and pure springs on the hillisde provide a natural environment for sightseeing and relaxation. The Dragon Elephant Pagoda and other cultural relics make the mountain even more intriguing. Afterwards, you will pay a visit to the Guangxi Ethnic Relics Center, which shows the characteristic architecture, clothes and customs of the eleven ethnic groups, especially the Zhuang ethnic group, living in Guangxi Province.
Day 6: Nanning – Next destination: Meal(s) (B)
The morning is at your leisure before you board your flight back home.
