Mount Everest Adventure Trek & Expedition

Itinerary
Day 1: Lhasa Arrival
Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will be met by English-speaking tour guide at Gonggar Airport and transferred to downtown hotel. With an average height of 4,000 meters above the sea level, Tibet is reputed as the "Roof of the World" and the "Third Pole of the Globe". Lhasa offers breathtaking monastery sights, Tibetan Buddhist Culture, colorful ethnic minority custom, which should not be missed!
You rest in order to acclimatize to the high altitude in preparation for the next few days' tour.
Day 2: Lhasa Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Potala Palace / Norbulingka / Sera Monastery
In the morning, you will visit the most well-known landmark of Tibet, the Potala Palace, which is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks. Afterwards, you will visit Norbulingka, meaning 'Treasure Park' in Tibetan. Then you will also pay a visit to Sera Monastery. It is one of three famous monasteries in Lhasa along with the Drepung Monastery and Ganden Monastery.
Day 3: Lhasa Meal(s) (B+L)
Sightseeing: Jokhang Temple / Barkhor Street / Tibet Museum
Today you'll start from the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism - Jokhang Temple. With an area of 25,100 square meters (about six acres), it is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. Afterwards, you will visit Barkhor Street, which is a very ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Temple. As a symbol of Lhasa, this street is also a must-see place for the tourists. After visiting Barkhor Street, you will proceed to visit Tibet Museum, which attracts an increasing number of people from overseas and educating them on the unique Tibetan culture.
Day 4 Lhasa – Gyangtse – Shigatse by private van (400km) Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Yamdrok Lake / Palkhor Monastery
In the morning you set out on the long drive to Gyangtse via Yamdrok Lake, one of the four holy lakes of Tibet. The captivating lake produces abundant aquatic life. Lush pasture, hundreds of diversified fauna and birds can also be seen around the lake.
Upon arrival in Gyangtse, you visit Pelkor Monastery. Pelkor Monastery is a typical fifteenth Tibetan monastery and has a style of its own. Palkhor Monastery houses about 100 robes and costumes which were made of silk, embroidery and tapestry during the Ming and Qing dynasty.
For lunch you'll sample some simple fare in a local restaurant.
Then you continue driving to Shigatse Prefecture, also named Xigatse, which is 94km away from Gyangtse. As the second largest city in Tibet Autonomous Region, Shigatse is also one of the world's highest cities with beautiful high plateau scenery. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is on our own to explore the city.
Day 5: Shigatse - Tingri by private van (280km) Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Tashilumpo Monastery
You will spend the morning touring around Shigatse, including visit to the famous Tashilumpo Monastery. It is one of the four monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the biggest Yellow Sect Monastery in Tibet, as well. The approximately 600 year-old majestic Tashihunpo Monastery has a magnificent architectural style with a golden roof and resplendent buildings. After lunch, you will drive to Tingri County, the gateway to Everest North Base Camp. It is often used as a base by mountain climbers preparing to ascend Mount Everest or Cho Oyu.
Day 6 Tingri - Everest Base Camp - Tingri by private van (300km) Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Rongbuk Monastery / Everest Base Camp
Get up early and continue to drive North Everest Base Camp, which is rudimentary campsites on Mount Everest that are used by mountain climbers during their ascent and descent. On the way, you will visit Rongbuk Monastery, lies by the foot of the Rongbuk Glacier at 5,100 metres. It is the highest monastery in the world and only 200 metres lower than North Everest Base Camp. Seen from Everest Base Camp, Mount Everest appears like a lofty pyramid surrounded by mountains that touch the sky. Mount Everest, also called
Chomolungma, Qomolangma or Zhumulangma, which is part of the Himalaya range in High Asia. As the highest peak in the world, which is 8,848 metres (29,029 feet), Mount Everest is located on the border between Sagarmatha Zone, Nepal, and Tibet, China.
Day 7 Tingri – Lhasa by private van (500km) Meal(s) (B+L+D)
In the morning, you spend about 6-7 hours on bus driving back to Lhasa. For lunch you'll sample some delicious fare in a local restaurant on the way.
Day 8 Lhasa – Next Destination Meal(s) (B)
Transfer via: TBA-on your own arrangement
The tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your next destination.
