8 Days to Shanghai - Hangzhou - Suzhou - Wuxi - Nanjing
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai
Sightseeting: the Bund/ Nanjing Road
Our guide will pick you up at Shanghai airport and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Bund ,the former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period and the Nanjing Road which is the busiest shoping street in Shanghai.
Day 2: Shanghai (B+L)
Sightseeing: Shanghai Museum/ Yuyuan Garden/ Oriental Pear TV Tower
Today you will visit Shanghai Museum which is The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. Then transfer you to Yu Garden. It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history. Infront of the garden, there is a market called Yu Market.After lunch you will visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower Standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, Orental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia
Day 03: Shanghai – Hangzhou by train(B+L)
Sightseeing: Jade Buddha Temple/ Six Harmonies Pagoda
Visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which is one of the main touristic highlights in Shanghai and it's also one of the most active temples in China. If you're lucky, you can watch the monks serving a cermony in a side room. Take a soft seat train to Hangzhou and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda, highly erected by the Qiantang River and to the south of the West Lake, it is a perfect symbol of brick-and-wood structure built in the ancient China. It was first built in 970 AD in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). The name "six harmonies" comes from the six Buddhist ordinances, meaning "harmonies of the heaven, earth, east, west, south and north".
Day 04: Hangzhou(B+L)
Sightseeing: Lingyin Temple/ West Lake/ Red Carp Pond
Visit the Lingyin Temple (Temple of Inspired Seclusion) is one of the ten most famous ancient Buddhist temples in China. It also houses various Buddhist literature and treasures. After the temple, visit the West Lake, Lying on the west edge of Hangzhou city, West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China. the Red Carp Pond, Originally it was a private garden near Huajia (Flower) Hill, hence the name Flower Harbor. In the year 1699 Emperor Kang Xi of the Qing Dynasty visited West Lake and wrote "Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor," which was later inscribed on a stone stele standing near the pond.
Day 05: Hangzhou - Suzhou by train(B+L)
Sightseeing: Humble Administrator's Garden/ Garden of the Master of the Nets
Take a soft seat train to Suzhou and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Humble Administrator's Garden which is the best representative of Chinese classical gardens in the Ming dynasty. Focused on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby, the garden is divided into three parts: the eastern, middle and western parts. Then transfer you to the Master of the Nets.
Day 06: Suzhou – Wuxi by train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Tiger Hill/ Wuxi/ Taihu Lake
Visit the Tiger Hill,One of the most famous sight of Suzhou, entitled as "the most famous place in Wuzhong", also named "Surging Sea Hill", "Surging Sea Peak ,then take a soft seat train to Wuxi and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Taihu Lake including the Yuantouzhu Park and the Li Garden.
Day 07: Wuxi – Nanjing by train(B+L)
Sightseeing: Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum/ Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum/ Confucius Temple
Take a soft seat train to Nanjing. Visit the Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the Confucius Temple. Dr. Sun Yixian (Sun Yat-sen) Mausoleum: In its time the building was designed to be more impressive than those of the emperors whom the father of the Chinese republic overthrew. Nowadays it is one of the most popular destinations. It is a memorial to remember and worship Confucius, the great thinker and educator of ancient China.
Day 08: Departure from Nanjing(B)
Enjoy your freetime till transfer you to airport and see yu off.
