Itinerary
Day 1: Shanghai Arrival
Welcome to China. Upon arrival, our local guide will take you to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Day 2: Shanghai (B+L)
Sightseeing: Shanghai Museum / Oriental Pearl TV Tower / Bund / Nanjing Road
Today you will start the day with a trip to visit the Shanghai Museum, which is a veritable treasure house of ancient Chinese art and houses 120,000 precious relics. Afterward, you will also pay a visit to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The tower becomes Shanghai's new landmark and a big magnet for tourists with its unique design composed of balls and columns. In the late afternoon, you will visit the picturesque Bund. Extending for 1.5 km on the shore of the Huangpu River, the Bund is a symbol of China’s prosperous future and Shanghai’s international past. Then you will stroll along the Nanjing Road, which is considered as one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and always mentioned in travel guides as a must see of China tour.
Day 3: Shanghai – Huangshan by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yu Garden / Jade Buddha Temple / Shanghai Xin Tian Di
In the morning, you visit the Yu Garden, a former private garden, called work of art, designs with different styles of the traditional Chinese horticulture art. After lunch continue to inspect the Jade Buddha Temple, which is renowned for a 2m-tall Buddha carved from a single piece of white jade, brought to China by a Burmese monk in 1822. Then you will stroll along Shanghai Xin Tian Di, which has become an urban tourist attraction that holds the historical and cultural legacies of the city. In the evening, you will take a flight to Huangshan and transfer to the hotel.
Day 4: Huangshan (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yellow Mountain / Cable car
Early in the morning, you will take a 1.5-hour drive to the foot of Yellow Mountain. You will ascend the western side of mountain by cable car, and then begin your 7 km hike to the eastern side of the mountain. Yellow Mountain has numerous mountain peaks, some seventy-two have names. The highest is Lotus Flower Peak with an altitude of 1860 meters. The other two prominent peaks are Guang'Ming'Ding (Bright summit) at 1840 meters and Tian'DuFeng (Heavenly Capital Peak) at 1840meters respectively.
Your stay tonight is on the mountain.
Day 5: Huangshan - Suzhou by train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Village Hongcun / Village Xidi / Cable car
Enjoy a Huangshan sunrise before going down the mountain by cable car after breakfast. On the return trip, you visit the old villages of Hongcun and Xidi, which were confirmed as one of UNESCO world cultural heritage. In the evening you drive with the train to Suzhou. Suzhou is regarded as the representative of old-Chinese garden architecture.
Day 6: Suzhou (B+L)
Sightseeing: Humble Administrator's Garden / Hanshan Temple / Tiger Hill Pagoda
You will spend the day touring around the city, including visits to Humble Administrator's Garden, Hanshan Temple and Tiger Hill Pagoda.
Humble Administrator's Garden is regarded as one the four most famous gardens in China. Water covers three-fifths of the garden. Wandering the paths and bridges twisting and turning by the maze of waters is a great way to stumble into the most isolated corners.
Hanshan Temple was once one of the 10 most famous temples in China. Tiger Hill Pagoda is a popular trip goal in the northwest Suzhou.
Day 7: Suzhou - Zhouzhuang - Hangzhou by private van & train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Zhouzhuang Water Town
In the morning you take a half day trip to the water town Zhouzhuang. After lunch you drive with the train to Hangzhou and transfer to the downtown hotel.
Day 8: Hangzhou (B+L)
Sightseeing: West Lake / Lingyin Temple / Six Harmonies Pagoda
Today you begin your first trip to the West Lake, embraced by emerald hills covered with lush forests, grotesque rocks, gullies and intriguing streams. After lunch, you will visit the Lingyin Temple, one of the most famous temples south of the Yangtze River. With many old trees, groves of bamboo, and quiet and beautiful surroundings, the Temple contains an important collection of Buddhist literature together with many other treasures. Then you will also pay a visit to Six Harmonies Pagoda, which is one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures.
Day 9: Hangzhou – Guilin by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Hupao Spring / China National Silk Museum / Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum
After checking out at your hotel, your first stop in this pleasant city is Hupao Spring, which is well famed for its unique fountain. Afterwards, you will visit China National Silk Museum and Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum. In the late afternoon, you will take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the downtown hotel.
Day 10: Guilin – Yangshuo – Guilin by boat & private van (B+L)
Sightseeing: Li River / Western Street
Get up early in the morning and drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to take the Li River cruise, which is considered as one of China's top tourist destinations. It is the river of poems and paintings. The region covers 83-km karst area with clear, exotic, ingenious and changing characteristics. After nearly 4.5 hours' Li River Cruise, you will arrive at Yangshuo County, a dream place for many tourists who want to see the real natural landscape and touch the countryside life.
After taking a short walk along the famous foreigner street- Western Street, drive back to Guilin city.
Day 11: Guilin –Hong Kong by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Reed Flute Cave / Seven Star Park / Elephant Trunk Hill
After checking out at the hotel, you begin with a tour of Reed Flute Cave. Inside you will see different shapes of stalactites & stalagmites with huge imagination to name for them and it is known as "A Natural arts gallery". After lunch, you will also pay a visit to Seven Star Park. The main sights contain Seven Star Cave, Dragon Hiding Cave, Flowers Bridge, the Zoo, Mosque, and Potted Trees. You next stop is Elephant Trunk Hill, which is regarded as the symbol of Guilin landscape. In the late afternoon or early evening, you will take a flight to Hong Kong and transfer to the downtown hotel.
Day 12: Hong Kong (B)
Sightseeing: Victoria Peak / Aberdeen / Repulse Bay
You will spend half day touring around the city, including visits to Victoria Peak, Aberdeen and Repulse Bay. For lunch time, you will be transferred back to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Day 13: Hong Kong – Next Destination (B)
The morning is at your leisure before boarding your flight back home.
