Itinerary

Day 1: Shanghai Arrival Meal(s) (D) 
Welcome to China. Upon arrival, our local guide will take you to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.  

Day 2: Shanghai Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Shanghai Museum / Oriental Pearl TV Tower / Bund / Nanjing Road
Today you will start the day with a trip to visit the Shanghai Museum, which is a veritable treasure house of ancient Chinese art and houses 120,000 precious relics. Afterward, you will also pay a visit to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The tower becomes Shanghai's new landmark and a big magnet for tourists with its unique design composed of balls and columns. In the late afternoon, you will visit the picturesque Bund. Extending for 1.5 km on the shore of the Huangpu River, the Bund is a symbol of China’s prosperous future and Shanghai’s international past. Then you will stroll along the Nanjing Road, which is considered as one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and always mentioned in travel guides as a must see of China tour.  

Day 3: Shanghai - Huangshan by air Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Yu Garden / Jade Buddha Temple / Shanghai Xin Tian Di

Journey time: one hour
In the morning, you visit the Yu Yuan Garden. A former private garden, called work of art, designs with different styles of the traditional Chinese horticulture art. After lunch continue to inspect the Jade Buddha Temple, which is renowned for a 2m-tall Buddha carved from a single piece of white jade, brought to China by a Burmese monk in 1822. Then you will stroll along Shanghai Xin Tian Di, which has become an urban tourist attraction that holds the historical and cultural legacies of the city. In the evening, you will take a flight to Huangshan and transfer to the hotel. 

Day 4: Huangshan Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Yellow Mountain

After breakfast, you will be driven 80 kilometers (1.5 hours) to Yellow Mountain. You will first be taken to Gong Bei Bridge, which is about 70.7m long, 5m wide and 7.6 m high. With a history of 400 hundred years, the Gongbei Bridge in Xiu Ning County is well preserved and features four piers and five bridge openings. You will then take the cable car at Yungu Station to the top of the mountain. You will visit the North Sea Scenic Area and West Sea Grand Valley to enjoy the dramatic views of bizarre rock formations and peaks. Its multitude of views from locations such as Bright Summit and Cloud Dispersing Pavilion are a delight to photograph as they change with the weather from season to season, hour to hour, and frequently minute to minute.

Day 5: Huangshan Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Free for you to take photos on the top of the mountain. 

Day 6: Huangshan Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Jade Pool / Tunxi Ancient Street

Get up early in the morning to catch the Huangshan Mountain’s magnificent sunrise. After breakfast you will tour the Begin-to-Believe Peak, where you will see its ancient twisted pines. After all the exercise, you will take the cable car down the mountain where you will visit the Jade Pool, located at the north side of Huangshan Mountain. The pool is surrounded by nature granite and the pool is fed from water from Songgu stream. Then you will drive back to the city of Huangshan to visit Tunxi Ancient Street, an excellent place to not only see China’s ancient past, but also get a better understanding of local cuisine and specialties. Most of the stores were built during the Qing Dynasty and operate as they did then. Many of these ancient stores have been in business for over one hundred years.  

Day 7: Huangshan - Suzhou by train Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Village Hongcun / Village Xidi

Journey time: 12 hours
You spend the morning visiting the famous Yixian County. With over 2000 years of history, this county has as many as 3,594 well preserved ancient dwellings from Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is highly praised as a "Treasury of Chinese ancient architecture". You will visit the two ancient villages of Hongcun and Xidi there. Hongcun is a truly classic ancient Chinese village.  This ancient village is located next to a beautiful lake, and features ancient dwellings centered on peaceful streets with a beautiful natural backdrop. With a history of over 1000 years, Xidi is a beautiful village. Nestled in the mountains, this village has abundant natural resources, and its inhabitants who are accustomed to a life of leisure, has given Xidi the reputation of being a "relaxing utopia”. In the evening you drive to the train station to Suzhou. Your home stay tonight is on the soft sleeper train. 

Day 8: Suzhou Arrival Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Humble Administrator's Garden / Hanshan Temple / Tiger Hill Pagoda

You will spend the day touring around the city, including visits to Humble Administrator's Garden, Hanshan Temple and Tiger Hill Pagoda.
Humble Administrator's Garden is regarded as one the four most famous gardens in China. Water covers three-fifths of the garden. Wandering the paths and bridges twisting and turning by the maze of waters is a great way to stumble into the most isolated corners.
Hanshan Temple was once one of the 10 most famous temples in China. Tiger Hill Pagoda is a popular trip goal in the northwest Suzhou.

Day 9: Suzhou – Tongli – Suzhou by private van Meal(s) (B+L+D) 
Sightseeing: Tongli Town
 
Get up early and drive to Tongli Town to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Tongli is an ancient water town in east China's Jiangsu Province. It enjoys fame across China for its beautiful rivers, historic bridges and opulent court yard homes. With a history spanning over 1000 years, this water town has long been a mecca for tourists, who are not only drawn by its architecture and waterways but also the vibrant local culture. One of Tongli's most famous features is its stone bridges. There are 49 in all linking the many sections of the town, with each bridge having its own name and often also displaying a distinct design. 

Day 10: Suzhou – Hangzhou by train Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Lingyin Temple / Six Harmonies Pagoda / Hupao Spring

Journey time: approx. 4 hours 
You will depart from Suzhou early in the morning, taking a short soft train to Hangzhou. After freshening up at the hotel, you will visit the Lingyin Temple, one of the most famous temples south of the Yangtze River. With many old trees, groves of bamboo, and quiet and beautiful surroundings, the Temple contains an important collection of Buddhist literature together with many other treasures. After lunch, you will pay a visit to Six Harmonies Pagoda, which is one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures. Your next stop in this pleasant city is Hupao Spring, which is well famed for its unique fountain.  

Day 11: Hangzhou Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: West Lake / Stone Hill
  
Today you will spend a whole day enjoying and photographing the beauty of West Lake and its surrounding. Held on three sides in the embrace of hilly peaks, this water wonderland has been an attraction for centuries and it is small wonder that it was a favorite imperial retreat. The largest part of West Lake is known as the Outer Lake and it is bounded by the North Inner Lake, Yuehu Lake, West Inner Lake and Lesser South Lake. You can also climb Precious Stone Hill to take a panoramic view of West Lake.  

Day 12: Hangzhou - Guilin by air Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Journey time: 2 hours
You will depart for a morning flight to Guilin and transfer to the downtown hotel.  

Day 13: Guilin - Xingping by private van Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Get up early in the morning and drive about 65km to Xingping Town to take photos, which is famous for its most spectacular scenic spots along the Li River. The town is really a beautiful place, surrounded by enthralling scenery. Both Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal belong to this scenic area. The charm of the town is greatly enhanced by the surrounding hills. 

Day 14: Xingping - Yangshuo by private van Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Get up early in the morning to catch the magnificent sunrise if weather permits. Then you will drive about 25km to Yangshuo County. Yangshuo is one of the most famous tourist destinations of China. It boasts breath-taking natural sceneries, mysterious ancient local dwelling houses and an insight into a diverse range of cultures. Around the area, you can climb Moon Hill to take photos. It is a huge slice of rock with a round hole in its center, and you mount 800 steps on a marble paved mountain path to reach it. At various angles it resembles from the new moon to a full moon.  

Day 15: Yangshuo - Longsheng Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces

The morning is free for you to take photos before spending about 4.5 hours on bus driving into Da Zhai of Longsheng County to visit Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces is a beautiful natural picture. The linked together rice terraces vary from season to season. In spring, the water is irrigated into the fields and the terraces look like great chains or ribbons hung on the hillsides. When the onset of summer, green waves rush continuously down the mountainside from the heaven. The theme of autumn is the harvest, with the mountainside decorated with the gold of ripened millet. Coming into winter, the whole mountain will be covered with white snow, just like dragons playing with water.

Day 16: Longsheng Meal(s) (B+L+D)
Get up early in the morning to catch the magnificent sunrise and other sightseeing.  

Day 17: Guilin - Hong Kong Meal(s) (B+L)
Journey time: one hour and 10 minutes
The morning is left free for you to take photos around the county. After lunch, you will make a beeline for the airport to take a flight to Hong Kong and transfer to the downtown hotel.  

Day 18: Hong Kong Meal(s) (B)
Sightseeing: Victoria Peak, Aberdeen and Repulse Bay
     
You will spend half day touring around the city, including visits to Victoria Peak, Aberdeen and Repulse Bay. For lunch, you will be transferred back to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.  

Day 19: Hong Kong – Next Destination Meal(s) (B) 
The morning is at your leisure before boarding your flight back home.
