This 14-day tour takes you to many of the most important historical sites and cultural sites from China’s past. In addition, we will also take you to the cradle of Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu – Luoyang and Mount Wudang, where you will learn its rich Taoism culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: TBA - Beijing
Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be taken to your hotel. As the capital of China, Beijing has a long history with an abundance of historical and cultural heritage-we cannot tear us away!
Balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Beijing (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Tiananmen Square / Forbidden City / Temple of Heaven / Beijing Duck Dinner
Today you will start the day with a trip to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square is regarded as a symbol of China and capable of holding one million people.
Then you'll head to the Forbidden City, which consists of more than 9,000 rooms and covers an area of 72 hectares. Forbidden City is the largest and the best-preserved Imperial Palace in the world.
After lunch, you take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The entire complex is a treasure trove of ancient Chinese architectural designs and arts and was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998.
Tonight, enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner.

Day 3: Beijing (B+L)
Sightseeing: Badaling Great Wall / Mind Tombs
You will get up early in the morning and drive about one hour to Badaling Great Wall, China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall.
For lunch you'll sample simple some delicious cuisine in a local restaurant.
Then head to one of the Mind Tombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers north from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000.
When the night falls, you will return to the hotel.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Hutong / Summer Palace
You will start the day with a unique Hutong Trishaw tour in the morning. Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane that is considered an informal symbol of the Beijing city. We can also visit local residents and taste some delicious local cuisine while taking the hutong tour.
Your next stop is the Summer Palace, which was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998. With its elegant overall arrangement, magnificent buildings and attractive scenery, the Summer Palace is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750.
Then head for the airport for Xian. Upon arrival in Xian, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
The evening is left free for you to explore the city.

Day 5:  Xian (B+L)
Sightseeing: Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum / Bell Tower / Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Today you will visit what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World - the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there.
After lunch, you will visit the Bell Tower. Originally built in 1348, the Bell Tower in Xian is situated in the very heart of the city and is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China.
You will also visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and initially built in 589.
The evening is free for you to explore the city.

Day 6: Xian - Luoyang by train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Shaanxi Provincial Museum / Great Mosque
After checking out at the hotel, your first stop in this pleasant city is Shaanxi Provincial Museum. Covering an area of over 70,000 square meters, the museum contains more than 370,000 relics including Bronze wares, terra cotta figures, gold and silver wares and murals, 3 thousand years ago.
Then you'll head to the Great Mosque. One of five Muslim sanctuaries in China, The Great Mosque in Xian is the only one open to visitors.
In the late afternoon, you will drive to the train station (Soft seat) to Luoyang, one of the important birthplaces of the Chinese civilization.
Upon arrival after 5 hours' drive, you are greeted and warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to the hotel.

Day 7: Luoyang – Zhengzhou – Shiyan by private van / train(B+L)
Sightseeing: Shaolin Temple / Longmen Grottoes
In the morning, you spend about one hour on private van driving into the Shaolin Temple, the birthplace of Chan Buddhism-cradle of Shaolin Kongfu. People from more than 30 countries and regions have come to the Shaolin Temple to receive Kungfu training.
For lunch you'll sample simple delicious cuisine in a local restaurant.
Then you will also pay a visit to the most famous scenic spot in Luoyang - Longmen Grottoes. Firstly sculptured in the fifth century, Longmen Grottoes has more than 2,300 caves and niches, 10,000 Buddhas, 2,800 inscriptions, and 80 pagodas, carved into the face of the cliffs alongside the Yi River. It was listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 2000.
In the late afternoon, you will make a beeline for Zhengzhou to take the soft sleeper train to Shiyan city, which takes about 8 hours.

Day 8: Shiyan (B+L)
Sightseeing: Wudang Mountain
Arrive in Shiyan in the early morning, you will be welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to the Wudang Mountain directly. Covering an area of 321 square kilometers, Wudang Mountain is renowned for its magnificent ancient building complex and breathtaking natural landscape. In 1994, the Ancient Building Complex in the Wudang Mountain was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Mount Wudang gets its name for its rich Taoism culture. Wudang Kung Fu, founded by Master Zhang Sanfeng, gets an equal status as Shaolin Kung Fu in China.

Day 9: Shiyan – Wuhan by train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Golden Palace / Nanyan Palace / Zixiao Palace
Continue visiting some scenic spot in the morning, including Golden Palace, Nanyan Palace and Zixiao Palace and so on.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Shiyan Train Station to take soft seat train to Wuhan, which takes about 6 hours.
Upon arrival in Wuhan at night, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to the downtown hotel.

Day 10: Wuhan – Shanghai by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yellow Crane Tower / Guiyuan Buddhist Temple
You will start the day with a trip to the symbol of Wuhan city: Yellow Crane Tower. First built in 223 A.D, Yellow Crane Tower is one of the four most famous towers in China. Ascending to the top of the tower, visitors will get a panoramic view of the Yangtze River, its bridge and the surrounding buildings.
Then you will also pay a visit to Guiyuan Buddhist Temple. Covering an area of about 46,900 square meters, Guiyuan Buddhist Temple is one of the four largest Buddhist temples in Hubei Province as well as an important Buddhist temple in China.
In the mid afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport to Shanghai, the largest and most prosperous metropolis in China and known as the "Paris of the East". Upon arrival, you are greeted and warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to the hotel.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city.

Day 11: Shanghai (B+L)
Sightseeing: Shanghai Museum / Old French Concession / Jade Buddha Temple / Shanghai Xin Tian Di
Your morning tour features Shanghai Museum, a museum of ancient Chinese art, accommodates 120,000 precious relics, including Bronzes, pottery, paintings and calligraphies, and so on.
After lunch, you will take a walking tour of the Old French Concession, the area of Shanghai once occupied by French in the mid-19th century. It offers unparalleled examples of old lane houses, apartments, garden houses and villas which remain untouched in mid-19th and early 20th century European styles.
Then you will also pay a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist temples to be found in Shanghai and one of Shanghai's top tourist destinations.
You will also stroll along Shanghai Xin Tian Di, which has become an urban tourist attraction that holds the historical and cultural legacies of the city.

Day 12: Shanghai (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yu Garden / Oriental Pearl TV Tower / Bund / Nanjing Road
Today you will start the day with a trip to the elegant classic Chinese garden: Yu Garden. Yu Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics.
You then head for Oriental Pearl TV Tower, with an astonishing height of 468 meters, ranks as the world's third tallest TV tower, after the 553-meter CN Tower in Toronto and the 535-meter Moscow TV Tower.
After lunch, you will visit the Bund, where the great foreign commercial houses and banks built their imposing office buildings before 1930s.
Then you will stroll along the Nanjing Road, which is considered as one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and always mentioned in travel guides as a must see of China tour.

Day 13: Shanghai – Next Destination (B)
The tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your next destination.
