Itinerary
Day 1: Hong Kong Arrival
Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Hong Kong, you will be taken to downtown hotel. As one of the world's most dramatic harbors, Hong Kong is a bustle, beautiful, unique and dynamic.
Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Hong Kong (B)
Sightseeing: Victoria Peak / Aberdeen / Repulse Bay
Today you will take half day city tour. Firstly, you will visit one of Hong Kong's leading tour destinations: Victoria Peak. On top of the peak, you will get a breathtaking view of Victoria Harbor and the whole city as well.
Then you head to Aberdeen, the largest town located in Hong Kong Island. Once a quiet fishing village, Aberdeen is now a thriving town famous for its floating restaurants, delicious seafood, junks and sampans.
Next you take a short drive to Repulse Bay, which is the most famous beach of having the highest representative characteristics in Hong Kong by its long and wide beach, clean water, calm tide and gentle wave.
For lunch time, you will be transferred to the hotel. Feel free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 3: Hong Kong - Guilin by air (B)
The morning is left free for you to explore the city.
After lunch, you will drive to the airport to Guilin directly, which is famous for its breathtaking scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery.
Upon arrival in Guilin, you are met at the airport by our guide, and driven to the hotel downtown.
Day 4: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin by boat & private van (B+L)
Sightseeing: Li River / Western Street
Get up early in the morning and drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to take the Li River cruise, which is considered as one of China's top tourist destinations. Along the river, you will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, crystal-clear water, lush bamboos and villages with water buffalos. Lunch will be served on board.
After nearly 4.5 hours' Li River Cruise, the beautiful and quaint ancient town with one thousand years' old - Yangshuo will greet your eyes.
You will drive back to Guilin city after a short walk along the famous foreigner street- Western Street.
Day 5: Guilin (B+L)
Sightseeing: Reed Flute Cave / Wave-subduing Hill / Elephant Trunk Hill
Today you will experience the "Art Palace of the Nature" - Reed Flute Cave. This splendid karst cave with a myriad of stalactites and stalagmites formulates various bizarre scenes including "Primitive Forest", "Crystal Palace", and "Flower and Fruit Mountain".
You will also pay a visit to Wave-subduing Hill (Fubo Hill). The Pearl-Returning Cave, the Thousand-Buddha Cave, the Sword-Testing Rock, the Wave Listening Pavilion, all of them have a strong appeal to the tourists.
After lunch, you will head for Elephant Trunk Hill. The hill resembles a giant elephant standing on the bank of the river, sucking up water through its long trunk.
Day 6: Guilin – Shanghai by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Bund / Nanjing Road
You will meet at the lobby of the hotel and take a short drive to the airport to Shanghai, the largest and most prosperous metropolis in China and known as the "Paris of the East". Upon arrival, you are greeted and warmly welcomed by our guide and visit the Bund directly, where the great foreign commercial houses and banks built their imposing office buildings before 1930s.
Then you will stroll along the Nanjing Road, which is considered as one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and always mentioned in travel guides as a must see of China tour.
Day 7: Shanghai – Huangshan by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yu Garden / Oriental Pearl TV Tower / Jade Buddha Temple / Shanghai Xin Tian Di
Today you will start the day with a trip to the elegant classic Chinese garden: Yu Garden. Yu Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics.
You then head for Oriental Pearl TV Tower, with an astonishing height of 468 meters, ranks as the world's third tallest TV tower, after the 553-meter CN Tower in Toronto and the 535-meter Moscow TV Tower.
Then you will also pay a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist temples to be found in Shanghai and one of Shanghai's top tourist destinations.
You will also stroll along Shanghai Xin Tian Di, which has become an urban tourist attraction that holds the historical and cultural legacies of the city.
At night, you will be transferred to the airport to Huangshan city, one of the most popular tour destinations in China! Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport by your guide, and driven to the hotel downtown.
Day 8: Huangshan (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yellow Mountain / Cable car
Early in the morning, you will take a 1.5-hour drive to the foot of Yellow Mountain. You will ascend the western side of mountain by cable car, and then begin your 7 km hike to the eastern side of the mountain. Yellow Mountain has numerous mountain peaks, some seventy-two have names. The highest is Lotus Flower Peak with an altitude of 1860 meters. The other two prominent peaks are Guang'Ming'Ding (Bright summit) at 1840 meters and Tian'DuFeng (Heavenly Capital Peak) at 1840meters respectively.
Your stay tonight is on the mountain.
Day 9: Huangshan – Suzhou by train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Village Hongcun / Tunxi Street
In the morning you will enjoy some other famous peaks before going down the mountain by cable car.
Your next stop is Village Hongcun, located at the southwestern foot of Yellow Mountain. The structures and buildings built during the Qing dynasty follow the local architectural style and elegance that blends closely with nature. The area was inducted into the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO Heritage Committee in late 2000.
Following your village visit, you will return to Huangshan city to stroll along the ancient Tunxi Street. People usually buy souvenirs of all styles because of the reasonable prices. Some may include a Chinese painting in Anhui style or print rubbings from stone inscriptions.
At night, you will be transferred to the train station to take an overnight soft sleeper train to Suzhou.
Day 10: Suzhou – Hangzhou by train (B+L)
Sightseeing: Humble Administrator's Garden / Hanshan Temple / Tiger Hill Park
Arrive in Suzhou in the morning, you are greeted and warmly welcomed by our guides and transferred to the hotel. Suzhou is a famous historical and cultural city with a history of over 2,500 years.
Today you will start the day with a trip to the gorgeous classic Chinese garden: Humble Administrator's Garden, which is regarded as the greatest garden of all southern Chinese gardens. Besides, the Humble Administrator's Garden was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1997.
After lunch, you will also pay a visit to Hanshan Temple, one of Suzhou's greatest landmarks and most popular Buddhist temples.
You then proceed to Tiger Hill Park. The Tiger Hill Pagoda in the park is the landmark of Suzhou city which was built from 959 to 961 during the Song dynasty. Ascending the hill, you will find a great number of places of interest, some of which have a long history.
In the late afternoon, you will make a beeline for Suzhou train station to Hangzhou, which takes less than four hours driving. Hangzhou is one of the seven ancient capitals in China with a history of 2200 years, and is treated as a famous tourist attraction with its famous natural beauty and cultural heritages.
Upon arrival, your tour guide will pick you up at the station and transfer you to the downtown hotel.
Day 11: Hangzhou (B+L)
Sightseeing: West Lake / Lingyin Temple / Six Harmonies Pagoda
The day begins with a tour of the highlight of Hangzhou - West Lake. The West Lake has become popular with numerous artists, poets and painters with its attractive views and breathtaking scenery.
After a tour of the West Lake, you will visit Lingyin Temple, the largest and most splendid Buddhist temple in Hangzhou. It houses a large collection of Buddhism treasure and relics which is of great research value of Buddhism development.
After lunch, you then proceed to Six Harmonies Pagoda, which is considered a masterpiece of traditional Chinese architecture. Upon ascending the pagoda, visitors can get a panoramic view of the Qaintang River and the bridge on it.
Day 12: Hangzhou - Xian by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Shaanxi Provincial Museum
You will all meet at the lobby of the hotel and drive to the airport for the next destination-Xian. Upon arrival in Xian, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
Then you will visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum directly. Covering an area of over 70,000 square meters, the museum contains more than 370,000 relics including Bronze wares, terra cotta figures, gold and silver wares and murals, 3 thousand years ago.
The evening is free for you to explore the city.
Day 13: Xian (B+L)
Sightseeing: Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum / Bell Tower / Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Today you will visit what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World - the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there.
After lunch, you will visit the Bell Tower. Originally built in 1348, the Bell Tower in Xian is situated in the very heart of the city and is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China.
You will also visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and initially built in 589.
The evening is free for you to explore the city.
Day 14: Xian -Beijing by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Summer Palace
Get up early and drive to the airport to Beijing, the capital of China. Upon arrival, you are greeted and warmly welcomed by your guide and visit the Summer Palace directly, which was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998. With its elegant overall arrangement, magnificent buildings and attractive scenery, the Summer Palace is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750.
The evening is left free for you to explore the city.
Day 15: Beijing (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Tiananmen Square / Forbidden City / Temple of Heaven / Beijing Duck Dinner
Today you will start the day with a trip to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square is regarded as a symbol of China and capable of holding one million people.
Then you'll head to the Forbidden City, which consists of more than 9,000 rooms and covers an area of 72 hectares. Forbidden City is the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world.
After lunch, you take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The entire complex is a treasure trove of ancient Chinese architectural designs and arts and was listed as UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage in 1998.
Tonight, enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner.
Day 16: Beijing (B+L)
Sightseeing: Badaling Great Wall / Mind Tombs
You will get up early in the morning and drive about one hour to Badaling Great Wall, China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall.
For lunch you'll sample simple some delicious cuisine in a local restaurant.
Then head to one of the Mind Tombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers north from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000.
When the night falls, you will return to the hotel.
Day 17: Beijing – Next Destination (B+L)
Sightseeing: Hutong
You will start the day with a unique Hutong Trishaw tour in the morning. Hutongs are a kind of ancient city alley or lane that is considered an informal symbol of the Beijing city. You can also visit local residents and taste some delicious local cuisine while taking the hutong tour.
After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight back home. Our service ends at the airport.
