Arrival in Shanghai
Sightseeing: the Bund/ Nanjing Road.
Our guide will pick you up at Shanghai airport and transfer you to your hotel. Visit the Bund, the former foreign settlement, with its imposing buildings of the colonial period, and the Nanjing Road which is the busiest shopping street in Shanghai.

Sightseeing: viewing solar eclipse /Shanghai Museum/ Yuyuan Garden/ Oriental Pear TV Tower.
Following an early breakfast we will depart for the eclipse viewing site which will be announced in the morning. Depending on the weather we will travel to the east or west of Jiaxing and this decision will be made in real time. We will locate our site in this zone where up to 5m 52s of totality can be seen. Then you will visit Shanghai Museum which is the biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. Then we will transfer you to Yu Garden. A former private garden with 400 years of history, it is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. In front of the garden, there is a market called the Yu Market. After lunch you will visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Standing by the Huangpu River, and at 468 meters high, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia.
