Itinerary

The following itinerary and quotation is still available in 2009.

Day 01: Arrival in Peking:(B+L)
Greetings and transfer to your hotel. Subsequently visit the Tiananmen square which is considered as the largest square of the world. And the Tiananmen square which is considered as the largest square of the world.

Day 02: Peking:(B+L)
After breakfast, you will visit the Badaling Great Wall where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. Afterwards visit the Spirit Way, an impressive marble archway as well as the entrance to the Ming Tombs (13 emperors of the Ming dynasty from 1368 to 1644 were buried) equipped with many animal and people statues on the left and on the right of the avenue.

Day 03: Peking - Lhasa(B+L)
Today you visit the forbidden city (emperor palace) and the summer palace. At 21:30 o'clock take the evening train to Lhasa-the capital of Tibet in the sleeping car of the No.1 class (4 persons/compartment).

Day 04: On the way to Lhasa(B+L)
On the train to Lhasa.

Day 05: On the train to the roof of the world(B+L)
At 20:58 o'clock, the train arrive at Lhasa

Day 06: Lhasa-the city of the Gods(B+L)
Lhasa, the city of the Gods, is on the 3650 m height and is the political, economic and religious center of Tibet. In the morning you choose to rest for recovering from high-altitude reflection or have a walk around the street. After lunch to visit the symbol of the sacred land, Potala Palace.

Day 07: Lhasa(B+L)
Today you drive first to the Jokhang Monastery. The Jokhang Monastery, located in downtown Lhasa, is a Buddhist hall for Tibetan Buddhists and a symbol of unity between the Tibetan and Han peoples. In front of the Jokhang Monastery is the Princess Willow Tree. Legend has it that when Tang Dynasty Princess Wencheng was married in Tubo, she planted this willow tree. Afterwards visit the Norbu Lingka and the Dragon King Pool. There are many gardens in Lhasa which in Tibetan are called "lingka" In the past monks and lay officials used these gardens to avoid the heat of summer, and most were owned by monk officials, lay officials, noble families and the monasteries. The Norbu Lingka, the summer and autumn retreat for the Dalai Lama, is one such garden, hence the name "Dalai Summer Palace."

Day 08: Lhasa(B+L)
Today to visit the Sera Monastery. In the northern suburbs of Lhasa towers the strangely shaped Serawoze Mountain. Sera Monastery lies on the southern slope of this mountain. Since ancient times, Living Buddhas and monks have taught the Buddhist doctrines in the area surrounding Sera. Dotted with willow trees, it is also home to many small monasteries and nunneries.

Approx. 10 km von Lhasa far away, at the foot 5600 m of a high mountain massif, lie the monasteries serums and Drepung. Here once the monks were trained and worked on affairs of state. The plant of the monastery Drepung resembles a city and was with ca.10.000 monks once the largest Gelugpa (yellow caps) - monastery Tibets. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 09: Lhasa-Peking(B+L)
In the morning flight to Peking. Afternoon for the free order.

Day 10: Peking(B)
End of trip.
