Tour feature: This tour not only covers the major historical sites in the most important historical cities- Beijing, Xian, and picturesque city Guilin - but you will also have the chance to explore Chinese minority villages in Guizhou, where you will be fascinated by the minority people’s exotic dress, daily life and unique architecture of their wooden houses.

Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing Arrival
Welcome to China. Upon arrival, our local guide will take you to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 2: Beijing (B+L+D)
Sightseeing: Tiananmen Square / Forbidden City / Temple of Heaven / Peking Duck Dinner

Today you will visit the Tiananmen Square which is considered as the largest square of the world. Subsequently, you visit the Forbidden City, the most complete imperial palace in China. And later you will also pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Temple of Heaven was built in the year 1420 and symbolized the meaning that the emperor can contact with the sky through it.
Tonight, enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner in a famous restaurant.

Day 3: Beijing (B+L)
Sightseeing: Badaling Great Wall / Spirit Way / Ming Tomb

After breakfast, you will visit the Badaling Great Wall where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. For lunch you'll sample some delicious fare in a local restaurant. Afterwards, take a short drive to visit the Spirit Way and one of Ming Tombs.  Spirit Way is an impressive marble archway as well as the entrance to the Ming Tombs equipped with many animals and people statues on the left and on the right of the avenue.
Ming Tombs are the representative royal tombs of the Ming Dynasty tombs. 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty from 1368 to 1644 were buried there.

Day 4: Beijing (B+L)
Sightseeing: Summer Palace / Lama Temple / Beijing Zoo

Today you will start the day with a trip to the Summer Palace, which has a history of over 800 years. All the man-made hills, halls, pavilions and temples, including Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, blend together harmoniously in spite of their individual styles. After lunch, you will also pay a visit to the Lama Temple. It is a typical Tibetan Monastery in Beijing and reveals various architectural styles from Han, Mongolia, Manchuria and Tibet, and the impressive 60-foot Maitreya Buddha, carved form a single sandalwood tree. Then you will head to Beijing Zoo, which is one of the largest in China. It provides thousands with the opportunity to witness strange and exotic species at firsthand, and also allows visitors to learn more about the lives of the animals that inhabit the world alongside us.

Day 5: Beijing – Xian by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Provincial History Museum / City Wall

You will take morning flight to Xian and transfer to the downtown hotel. Afterwards, you will visit the Provincial History Museum, which houses a large collection of historic and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi Province. Later you mount the City Wall. It was restored in the Ming dynasty and is considered as the largest and most intact Ming Dynasty castle in the world. From there you can have a good view of Xian.

Day 6: Xian (B+L)
Sightseeing: Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum / Big Wild Goose Pagoda / Bell Tower

Today you will visit what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. It is one of the most important archaeological excavations and culture findings in the 20th century. After lunch, you will drive back to downtown city to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of symbols in Xian and a remarkable milestone of the Chinese architecture. Afterward, you will head to visit Bell Tower. Originally built in 1348, the Bell Tower in Xian is situated in the very heart of the city and is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China.

Day 7: Xian - Guiyang by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Jiaxiu Pavilion / Hongfu Buddhist Monastery
In the morning, you will take a flight to Guiyang. Arrive in GUIYANG-the capital city of Guizhou province located in southwest of China, you will be met by our seasoned guide. City tour includes: Jiaxiu Pavilion which is the symbol building of Guiyang, Hongfu Buddhist Monastery which is located on top of Qianling Mountain.

Day 8: Guiyang – Anshun – Guiyang (B+L)
Sightseeing: Tianlong Old-Han Chinese village / Ground Opera / Huangguoshu waterfall
Morning visit Tianlong Old-Han Chinese village to appreciate its traditional opera "Ground Opera" which could be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. All the performers will put wooden mask on their forehead. En route, you will be deeply impressed by its gorgeous limestone scenery. Afternoon, explore Huangguoshu waterfall- the largest in China, 81 meters wide and 74 meters high.

Day 9: Guiyang – Kaili (B+L)
Sightseeing: Kaili folk museum / Shiqiao Miao village / Qingman Miao village

Morning 2.5 hours' coach to KAILI along the scenic mountain expressway which is the capital city of Guizhou’s Southeast Autonomous Prefecture of Miao & Dong people. Those Miao people who moved to America and Europe are known as Hmong people. Upon arrival, visit Kaili folk museum to have an overview of the ethnic groups in Guizhou. In the afternoon, you will drive to Shiqiao Miao village to see their traditional way of making paper from mulberry tree. On the way back, stop at Qingman Miao village to experience their daily life by visiting the local families. Meanwhile, you can appreciate Miao people’s typical architecture---Wooden stilt houseFamily visit will be arranged. Dinner will be arranged with Miao people’s traditional cuisine: sour-soup fish in hotpot.

Day 10: Kaili - Rongjiang (B+L)
Sightseeing: Jidao Long-skirt Miao Village / Datang Short-Skirt Miao Village / Leigong Mountain / Shui People Village

In the morning, a short drive from Kaili along the Bala River will take us to Jidao Long-skirt Miao village. You will be deeply impressed by its traditional wooden houses and waterwheels. Hike in the village to explore more. A performance will be arranged. Then coach to Datang Short-Skirt Miao village situated at the foot of Leigong Mountain. Its wooden storage place above the water is really worth visiting. After lunch, continue our drive via Leigong Mountain to appreciate its mountainous landscape. En route, explore a Shui people village located in a deep valley.

Day 11: Rongjiang - Congjiang - Zhaoxing (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yintan Dong Village / Basha Miao Village / Dong People's Village

In the morning, you will drive to Congjiang and visit Yintan Dong Village. The folk customs are primitive and simple in the village, which is well known for its weaving culture and the marriage culture. Afterwards, visit Basha Miao Village. The Miao villagers here have maintained the characteristic lifestyle of the Miao ethnic group, still retaining the living customs and dressing code of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. In the afternoon, explore Zhaoxing-the largest Dong people’s village in China with more than 800 households and a population of 5000. It owns five drum towers symbolizing five different clans.

Day 12: Zhaoxing - Sanjiang - Longsheng (B+L)
Sightseeing: Tang'an Dong Village / Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridgev

Today you will experience Tang'an Dong Village, which is located 5 km from the Zhaoxing Village and renowned as the" most primitive Dong Village" in China. Afterwards, drive to Sanjiang, which in particular is famous for the stockade villages built by the Dong ethnic minority.
Upon arrival, you will visit Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, which is the largest wind and rain bridge also it is the crystal of Dong people's wisdom. It is one of the artistic precious things of Chinese wood architecture. Late afternoon, arrive at Longsheng.

Day 13: Longsheng - Guilin (B+L)
Sightseeing: Longji Terraced Fields / Villages of Zhuang Minority

Today you will start the day with a trip to the famous Longji Terraced Fields. The terraces look like great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill. They were built from the Yuan dynasty to the beginning of Qing dynasty by the minority peoples of the area. For lunch, you'll sample some delicious country fare in a local restaurant. Then you will pay a visit to the Villages of Zhuang Minority. Visit Zhuang village and Yao minority villages, and Ping'an village, the architecture is unique as no nails are used in construction. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Guilin.

Day 14: Guilin – Yangshuo – Guilin (B+L)
Sightseeing: Li River / Western Street

Get up early in the morning and drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to take the Li River cruise, which is considered as one of China's top tourist destinations. It is the river of poems and paintings. The region covers 83-km karst area with clear, exotic, ingenious and changing characteristics. After nearly 4.5 hours' Li River Cruise, you will arrive at Yangshuo County, a dream place for many tourists who want to see the real natural landscape and touch the countryside life. 
After taking a short walk along the famous foreigner street- Western Street, drive back to Guilin city.

Day 15: Guilin (B+L)
Sightseeing: Reed Flute Cave / Seven Star Park / Elephant Trunk Hill

Today begins with a tour of Reed Flute Cave. Inside you will see different shapes of stalactites & stalagmites with huge imagination to name for them and it is known as "A Natural arts gallery". After lunch, you will also pay a visit to Seven Star Park. The main sights contain Seven Star Cave, Dragon Hiding Cave, Flowers Bridge, the Zoo, Mosque, and Potted Trees. You next stop is Elephant Trunk Hill, which is regarded as the symbol of Guilin landscape.

Day 16: Guilin – Shanghai by air (B+L)
Sightseeing: Yu Yuan garden / Shanghai Xin Tian Di

Get up early in the morning and check out at the hotel, you will take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. After freshening up, you will visit the Yu Yuan garden, a former private garden, called work of art, designs with different styles of the traditional Chinese horticulture art. Then you will stroll along Shanghai Xin Tian Di, which has become an urban tourist attraction that holds the historical and cultural legacies of the city.

Day 17: Shanghai (B+L)
Sightseeing: Jade Buddha Temple / Oriental Pearl TV Tower / Bund / Nanjing Road

Today you will start the day with a trip to visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which is renowned for a 2m-tall Buddha carved from a single piece of white jade, brought to China by a Burmese monk in 1822. Afterward, you will also pay a visit to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The tower becomes Shanghai's new landmark and a big magnet for tourists with its unique design composed of balls and columns. In the late afternoon, you will visit the picturesque Bund. Extending for 1.5 km on the shore of the Huangpu River, the Bund is a symbol of China’s prosperous future and Shanghai’s international past. Then you will stroll along the Nanjing Road, which is considered as one of the World's Seven Great Roads in the 1930s and always mentioned in travel guides as a must see of China tour.

Day 18: Shanghai – Next Destination (B)
The morning is at your leisure before boarding your flight back home.
