Zhijin Caves

Zhijin Cave Scenic Spot, located about 150 kilometers west of Guiyang, Guizhou Province, are also known as the Daji Caves.it covers 700,000 square meters, the series of underground caverns stretch nearly 13 kilometers through the plateau rising about 1,300 meters above sea level. At present, 47 caves and halls have been divided into 12 scenic areas opened to the public. The spot has four parts: Zhijin Old Town, Zhijin Cave, Jiehe Gorge and Hongjia Ferry among which the Zhijin Cave is the most attractive and famous. Zhijin Cave is also called Daji Cavewhich boasts many unique features, is also called 'King of Caves'. 350,000 square meters of the cave have been explored. Halls in the cave are extremely long and wide. One seldom sees so many varieties and such high-grade karst accumulations, such as the rare curlstone (a kind of stone).
