Confucius Temple

in Nanjing was originally constructed in the year of 1034 in the Song Dynasty. Located in the Zhonghua Gate City Wall, the Confucius Temple used to be a place to offer sacrifice to Confucius, the great philosopher and educator of ancient China. It is a famous ancient relic in City of Nanjing. On the both sides of the temple are tablets, people used for worshiping Confucius wife and his students respectively. There are many ancient buildings in the temple, such as Great Achievement Hall, Virtue Hall, Blue Cloud Tower, and so on.
