Guilong Tower
Guilong Tower is located on the bank of Zuojiang River in Chongzuo County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is also called the “Zuojiang Leaning Tower”. Built of bricks in 1621, the 28-meter and 5-storey high hexangular tower is still standing intact on a giant stone in the middle of the Zuojiang River. The tower is leaning southwestwards by one meter, and that is why it is called Leaning Tower. Experts say the craftsmen deliberately tilted the tower to the left in consideration of the wind from the river and its geological position in the area. That’s why the tower still stands perfect after hundreds of years.
