Yangmei Ancient Town
Yangmei Ancient Town is located in the suburban area of Nanning, 38 kilometers from downtown. There are many ancient houses and buildings with around a thousand years of history. Even now, Yangmei Ancient Town still preserves architectures of Ming and Qing dynasties, such as ancient streets, lanes, temples, shrines, houses, trees, ports, the Wenwu pagoda, and a beacon tower, all of them having an antique style. The most famous places in the county are Kuixing Lou, Qing Dynasty Street, and Ming and Qing dynasties Architectural areas. Tourists can get a feel for life in the past while viewing the flagstone paving and trying some traditional food: mei vegetable, touchi (a traditional bean vegetable), and suan cai (sour vegetables). These dishes are a specialty of this place.
