China Folk Culture Village

The China Folk Culture Village occupies an area of over 200,000 sq meters and was designed to present the architecture, folk arts (music, dancing, and handicrafts) and culture of 23 of the ethnic minorities. Opened in August 1991, the China Folk Culture Village covers an area of 2.38 square kilometers. In the village, you will see the distinctive architecture of ethnic groups and join their brilliant festivals. It contains features such as houses and other buildings of the Bouyei people, the Dong, the Jingpo, the Miao, the Yao, the Yi, and the Zhuang minorities, a Tibetan house and lamasery, yurts from Inner Mongolia and Kazakstan, the Tuija over-water market of Xianju, Buddhist pagodas from Nanfeng and the Dai autonomous region, a mosque from Uighur, and many other attractions. Visitors can join in making ethnic handicrafts and take part in traditional singing and dancing.
