By air
Despite being an important tourist destination, Suzhou does not have its own international airport at present. It is best to use the airports of nearby Shanghai. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) and Pudong International Airport (PVG) are used frequently by domestic and international visitors.
By train
Almost all the trains running on the Hu-Ning (Shanghai-Nanjing) Railway stop at the Suzhou Railway Station. Suzhou is the terminus and starting station for five trains to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Ganzhou (Jiangxi Province) everyday. The rest of the trains are bound for Shanghai from Beijing, Chengdu, Xian, Qingdao, Xining and Nanjing, etc., but stop in Suzhou. Usually, at least two trains to Shanghai stop in Suzhou each hour. The trains which go direct to Suzhou from Shanghai depart Shanghai at 6:30 and 16:41 everyday. The return trains depart at 7:13 and 17:09.
Harry's Bar
After more than 2 years, Harry's Bar is still the top night spot in Suzhou, especially after the new renovations with a larger bar and wide bi-folding doors out to a new terrace; a welcome expansion of space for the larger weekend crowds. With live music 7 nights a week, the great band Too Match pull in the larger Thursday to Saturday crowd of local professionals and expats who have made Harry's their second home! The English speaking staff are tops in service and the prices at Harry's are lower than most other bars in town... but the great friendly crowd make Harry's the best bar in Suzhou.

Ya Shenxian
April 14th in the Chinese lunar calendar is said to be the birthday of Lv Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese Taoist mythology. On that day, he came to Suzhou disguised as a human to spread happiness and prosperity. To receive more luck from the immortals, people from all over Suzhou crowd the streets in celebration. Today, this activity has turned into a bustling temple fair with various displays including handicrafts, plants, animals, and local snacks.
